Job Duties: The Heritage Project Coordinator will make a significant contribution to the realisation of Corrymeelas strategic plan for programmes under the theme of Legacies of Conflict. They will be dedicated to the coordination and delivery ofOur Places, Our Pasts, Our Perspective's a project supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Ireland's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the David Tyler Trust and the Northern Ireland Community Relations Council. The project is a collaboration led by Corrymeela, in partnership with Belfast City Council, Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, Quarto, Queen's University, Belfast and Ulster University.
Qualifications / Experience: Relevant third level educational qualification or equivalent. Proven track record of at least two years of working with communities on programmes related to heritage and/or peace and reconciliation work. Demonstrable knowledge of how heritage can be used as a vehicle to explore place, identity & multiple perspectives on the past. The skills and abilities to develop and facilitate participant-centred programmes that are appropriate for a range of needs. Demonstrable experience in managing events. Proven ability to write up work to a high standard. Demonstrable ability to work, both independently & as part of a team, with high level organisational skills. Proven capability in project management, managing budgets; evaluation & delivering against agreed schedules, targets & deadlines. Experience & competence with IT including Microsoft packages. Ability & willingness to work flexibly including evening, weekends & residentially. Ability & willingness to travel across Northern Ireland.
