Job Duties: The overall purpose of the role is to provide leadership across a team of agricultural economists, policy developers and others working to influence UK policy on trade, competition, subsidy control and immigration where these issues affect the agri-food sector. The post holder will establish an evidence based Departmental position, and play an active role in establishing an NI Executive position, in these non-devolved policy areas. Qualifications / Experience: At least a 2:2 Honours degree or Post-graduate degree in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Environmental Economics or in a subject where the study of Economics is a major component;At least 2 years' direct Senior Management level experience, of developing and/or gathering economic research and analysis and using this analysis for the purpose of influencing policy development and/or implementation;At least 2 years' direct Senior Management level experience, of leading and influencing the achievement of strategic challenges in a complex environment;At least 2 years' direct Senior Management level experience of leading effective internal teams and working with external stakeholders to deliver strategic outcomes.
