Job Duties: The employer is: GREENHILL YMCA.Be an effective member of the Outdoor Learning Team assisting in the day-to-day running of the department and being accountable for agreed areas of responsibility.With the outdoor learning team, to organise and deliver a range of activities that support young people to develop and learn as part of centre programmes.Programming of activities as delegated by the OLC.Delivery of training when required.Support the duty instructor, group host and maintenance tasks as directed by the OLC at both Greenhill YMCA and Glenada.Undertaking training, as required and maintaining a personal training log Adhere to centre Health and Safety and Safeguarding Policy and Procedures.Participate in wider National YMCA events as agreed with OLC.You will be entitled to annual leave during this annual leave during this job opportunity.
Qualifications / Experience: Essential:On appointment, will hold a minimum of one valid NGB from the following: Paddle sport Instructor.Climbing Wall Instructor.ERCA Generic Instructor.Some Knowledge and interest in Outdoor Learning programmes.Knowledge/understanding of youth work methodology.Good Interpersonal and Communication skills.Demonstrate the ability to work within a team.Desirable:Driving licence.OCN Level 2 Youth Work Practice.Knowledge of Health and Safety / Risk Assessments.Working Knowledge in the use of Google Docs.Knowledge of the YMCA movement in Ireland.
