Job Duties: The Employer is: LOWER ORMEAU RESIDENTS ACTION GROUP.Instruct & supervise the public with procedures in the use of gym equipment, fitness equipment & other relevant for which appropriate qualifications are held.Instruct classes, fitness initiatives & programmes for the local community schools & clubs, monitor & record class attendances & fitness suite performance.Provide & maintain a filing system for each individual's induction & fitness programme records & use appropriate systems for the tracking & management of all programmes, including filing of confidential information. Dealing with enquiries & complaints where appropriate.Maintenance check of all equipment & report faults to the appropriate officer.Daily maintenance check of all equipment & report faults to the appropriate officer.Reporting & recording of all accidents & dangerous occurrences.You will be entitled to annual leave during this job opportunity.
Qualifications / Experience: Experience of working in a gym setting at least 10 hours per week (either voluntary or paid);Willingness to undertake training, as requiredUnderstanding of health and safety when working in a gym and fitness setting;Knowledge and understanding of encouraging people to engage in fitness programmes;Knowledge and understanding of working within agreed policies and proceduresAbility to work on own initiative and as part of a team;Ability to communicate effectively with gym users;Ability to quickly adapt to different gym settingsGenuine interest, motivation and enjoyment around working within a gymResponsible and caring approach to workingGood sense of humour with and open and friendly mannerHonest, reliable and good time-keeperFlexible approach to working hours, Monday to Sunday
