Job Duties: The employer is: GOLDEN THREAD GALLERY.Greeting visitors on arrival and taking them through our COVID safety process.Logging visitor contact details for COVID track and trace. Record-keeping of visitor numbers.Overseeing the appearance of FOH area ensuring it is tidy and presentable, including bookshop display and Junior Gallery.Distributing free Gallery Explorer art education packs to all young visitors.Liaising with the public and with artists, institutions and funders in person and over the phone.Familiarising themselves with current and upcoming exhibitions to answer visitor queries..Familiarising themselves with other arts and culture venues and events in Belfast in order to provide information for visitors.Assisting at family art workshops.Assisting at events, talks and exhibition launches.General administration duties including recording bookshop sales and answering the phone.You will be entitled to annual leave during this Job opportunity.

Qualifications / Experience: GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above).Computer competencies including Microsoft Word, Excel, email. Experience (paid or unpaid) of working with the public e.g., retail, customer service, catering, charity volunteering, community work. Ability to prioritise a varied workload as part of a busy team, and stay calm under pressure. Ability to adapt to new challenges.Good verbal communication skills i.e. ability to be courteous and helpful in-person and on the phone. Good written communication skills i.e. ability to record messages or take notes clearly and accurately.Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
