Job Duties: The employer is: SOUTHCITY RESOURCE AND DEVELOPMENT CENTRE.Duties will include:To support the implementation of the Southcity Advice Plan.Provide a friendly and welcoming first point of contact for people requiring assistance.Accurately record details of people requiring support.Answer telephone calls, record details of the enquiry and pass on to the appropriate advisor.Assist in the day to day operation of advice representation services; carry out direct advice-giving sessions when trained.Carry out all follow-up work and administration, including preparation for reviews and tribunals;Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date confidential case records for all clients;Assist the advice centre manager to extend access to advice to communities and groups currently without provision.Undertake structured training into advice giving with a formal qualification.You will be entitled to annual leave during this job opportunity.

Qualifications / Experience: Have a knowledge of and commitment to the field of community development and welfare rights.Computer literate (Microsoft packages).Commitment to collective working and responsibility.Good oral and written communication skills.Ability to work on own initiative.Team player.Well motivated.Sensitive to working with different types of groups/people.
