Job Duties: The Manager will work with the DCEO to ensure, that Elderly Care Service users receive a high quality, safe and effective service that takes cognisance of their physical/ psychological/ social/ emotional and spiritual needs to maximise their quality of life and lived experience.The Manager will be expected to provide leadership and commitment to delivering a service which promotes the rights, citizenship, and dignity of service users within a framework of clinical and social care governance. The Manager will oversee practice, ensuring that statutory obligations and supervisory requirements are met. This will include providing leadership to the team in relation to Adult Safeguarding issues. The post holder will lead on the development of standards and systems to support the delivery of assessments, interventions and review, including compliance with the Mental Capacity Order. Qualifications / Experience: Minimum level 5 in Health & Social Care.Have NISCC registration A minimum of 2 years working experience in a leadership capacity. Have 2 years experience working with Elderly Service users in a professional capacity.Two years experience supervising staff involved in direct care and have knowledge and experience working with other professionals and will include co-ordinating staff rotas and service provision or co-ordinating and organising social care services.A commitment to providing compassionate, person centred, rights based support to Elderly Care Service users and to challenging discriminatory practices, to the promote the wellbeing and lived experience of Elderly/Care Service users.A commitment to AFCG continued development.Skills in the use of electronic communication and information systems.Effectively manage and lead a team.
