Job Duties: Managing the quality ensuring focus on delivering products to specification.Defining and maintaining compliance and hygiene standards.Driving standards to obtain BRC requirements.Develop a technical strategy to demonstrate continuous improvement. Advising management on the compliance to and implications of legislation changes.Defining/reviewing key quality metrics advising management of trends and where appropriate advising on corrective action & improvements.Monitoring the environmental hygiene performance and guiding the team on the improvement of standards.Conducting Food Safety risk assessments and implementing appropriate controls for preventing product contamination.Develop a quality culture throughout the manufacturing site by supporting the Production team to continuously improve quality standards.Manage documentation for HACCP.Manage raw material & packaging material specifications.

Qualifications / Experience: Able to demonstrate 3 years' experience as a Technical Manager working within the food industry, ideally with experience of chilled.Formal HACCP and Food Hygiene trained.Experience in dealing with retailers in relation to audits etc.A thorough understanding of legislative compliance standards.Excellent track record of managing technical/quality teams, building capability, coaching, developing, and addressing any issues effectively and in compliance with legislative and company policies and procedures.Excellent communication and people management skills. Ability to communicate at board level when presenting complex details.Good level of numeracy - ability to calculate and report on performance, KPIs and present to the board/customers.Able to work in a controlled manner under pressure and demonstrate abilities as an influencer.Excellent knowledge of IT software.
