Job Duties: We are seeking to recruit an experienced Team Manager with the ability and commitment to enable young people leaving care to reach their full potential and positively transition to independent living. Our successful applicant will oversee the day to day running of the residential unit and manage and support the project staff.Our Leaving Care Services are jointly commissioned by Health and Social Care Trusts and Supporting People (NIHE) and are currently based in Belfast and Ballymena. The services provide accommodation, support, assistance and guidance to young people aged 16 to 21 based on individually assessed need. This Team Manager role will involve directly supporting and working with young people.Applicants must hold the professional Social Work qualification and be registered with NI Social Care Council.

Qualifications / Experience: Essential Professional qualification in Social Work and NISCC registrationDemonstrable experience of supervisory roleDemonstrable experience of working with young people in terms of care planning and/or pathway planningDemonstrable experience of managing safeguarding concernsDemonstrable experience of working with challenging behaviourDemonstrable experience of professional report writingAbility to meet the travel requirements of the role car user with business insuranceDesirableDemonstrable experience of working in a residential settingIt is essential that applicants demonstrate a willingness to work flexible hours.
