Job Duties: We are seeking to recruit an experienced Team Manager with the ability and commitment to enable young people who are from an Unaccompanied and Asylum seeking Child (UASC) background to reach their full potential and positively transition to independent living. Our successful applicant will oversee the day to day running of the residential unit with line management responsibility for Residential Project worker staff. The successful candidate will support the Children Service Manager in the management of a safe and effective service.The Supported Accommodation Service for Unaccompanied Young People (SASUYP) is commissioned by the Health and Social Care Board. The unit is based in Belfast (BT9). The service provides accommodation, support, assistance and guidance for young people aged 16-21 from a UASC background who reside within the unit. All support is based on an individual needs assessment completed in partnership with the young person and other relevant agencies.

Qualifications / Experience: Essential:Professional qualification in Social Work, registration with NISCC.Demonstrable experience of a supervisory role.Demonstrable experience of working with young people in terms of care planning and/or pathway planning.Demonstrable experience of managing safeguarding concerns.Demonstrable experience of working with challenging behaviour.Demonstrable experience of professional report writing.Desirable:Previous experience of working in a residential setting.Candidate has access to a car with business insurance for the purpose of the role.Previous experience and knowledge of working with young people from a UASC background.It is essential that applicants demonstrate a willingness to work flexible hours.
