Job Duties: The post holder will be responsible for developing, maintaining and delivering a high quality technical support service, which delivers information learning services to staff and students through the College's network. The post holder also has supervisory responsibility for staff.

Qualifications / Experience: A qualification at Level 6 or above in Computing and/or Information Technology with a minimum of 2 years' senior technical support experience, gained in the last 5 years, in each of the following areas:Installation, configuration, maintenance and monitoring of operating systems such as Windows 10, Windows Server 2012 onwards, macOS or Linux;Installation, configuration, maintenance and monitoring of a range of network management, security, cloud based, desktop and specialist application software;Installation, configuration, maintenance and monitoring of a range of network, security, server, desktop and specialist hardware;Diagnosing and resolving complex hardware and software problems in a networked environment;Overseeing web, email, face to face and telephone support and providing direct 2nd and 3rd line support;Effectively supervising and leading a technical support team; see person specification for further details
