Job Duties: The ASOS Big Data Engineering Academy is supported by the Department for the Economy and delivered in partnership with South Eastern Regional College (SERC). It is a 10 week programme, designed to provide participants with the core skills needed to start a career within the ASOS Data Domain as a Big Data Engineer.
Qualifications / Experience: No experience is required but all applicants must be currently eligible to work in the UK, and be aged 18 or over.Those selected to join the programme will have the opportunity to receive practical real world training including accreditation in subjects such as: Agile Methodologies, Programming with Python and Scala, SQL Fundamentals, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals, Azure Databricks & Apache Spark. Due to the COVID pandemic training may be a hybrid of onsite and online learning provided by South Eastern Regional College (SERC) in their Bangor campus. If you successfully complete the training academy, you'll be guaranteed a job interview with ASOS. However, please note that successful completion of the academy is not a guarantee of gaining employment.
