Job Duties: The employer is: YMCA PORTADOWN.Ensure safe and effective use of ICT and social media including regular monitoring and safeguarding. Contribute to attainment and registration of young people. Collaborate with Youth Workers in ensuring safe and appropriate ICT usage.Assist in management and maintenance of PR Marketing/ICT and social media.Assist Centre Leaders to provide a safe environment for service users.Attend and contribute to staff meetings.Keep up to date with new and current thinking about effective ICT practice.Assist with carrying out of risk assessments.Ensure Health and Safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure safe online social media usage.Liaise with Pastoral Staff regarding appropriate and safe online social media platforms and PR/marketing strategy.Play an active part in the life of YMCA Portadown.Undertake appropriate training.You will be entitled to annual leave during this job opportunity.
Qualifications / Experience: Essential:Minimum 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent).Experience and knowledge of a wide range of social media platforms.Experience of Youth Work as a volunteer or staff member.High level of communication skills.Experience of content management systems for websites. Outstanding people skills, flexibility and initiative.Desirable:Strong writing skills. Good interpersonal skills. Good planning and organisational skills. Excellent IT skills, including Google Docs, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher. Ability to work on own initiative. Strong eye for detail. Creative and flexible approach.A willingness to learn every day as you consistently strive to increase your impact on young peoples lives and learning.
