Job Duties: To provide a safe, reliable, high-quality, and responsive technical service to students and lecturers. Facilitating the practical aspects of main subjects within the curriculum area and training students on the correct use of equipment and underpinning the knowledge necessary for safe and effective practice. This position will also provide the opportunity for candidates to undertake the part-time fast-track Foundation Degree in Computing Infrastructure which would entail 1 day per week attending at the college and 4 days per week performing the role of a Curriculum IT Technician.
Qualifications / Experience: Hold a minimum of a qualification in IT at Level 3English GCSE Grade C or above OR Essential Skills level 2 (or higher) in Communication, or equivalent.Maths GCSE Grade C or above OR Essential Skills level 2 (or higher) in Numeracy, or equivalent.Knowledge of current ICT technologies including hardware, software, and Cloud Technologies.Working knowledge and experience of routine PC and network maintenance procedures and fault diagnosis and resolving faults, both with hardware and software.Knowledge of current ICT Professional Certifications.A detailed job description can be found on our website www.belfastmet.ac.uk/jobs
