Job Duties: Take ownership of all aspects of the CNC milling machine setup. Problem-solve the machining process and make necessary adjustments to ensure parts are of high quality and conform to specification. Create NC programmes at the machine console for parts or fixtures. Fully inspect components using precision measuring equipment. Complete job cards and NCRs. Ensure all allocated machinery is operating efficiently and safely by performing daily factory and machine maintenance tasks. Assist with creating and updating machine set-up sheets. Provide technical support and advice to other staff as required. Comply with all BPE housekeeping, 5S, health and safety, quality standards/legislation. Play an active role in suggesting improvements to the setup and machining processes to help improve component quality, reduce cycle times and non-conformance.

Qualifications / Experience: Minimum 5 years proven practical experience in a setting role within a tool room/CNC machine shop environment. Be able to demonstrate complete understanding of all aspects of setting and operation of CNC milling machines.Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings competently and use precision measuring equipment to inspect components. Ability to react to/meet tight deadlines and adhere to allocated process times within a fast-paced engineering environment. Proven ability to solve problems that could arise during the setup and machining process. Ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere but also on own initiative. Excellent timekeeping and attendance record
