Job Duties: Reading & understanding engineering drawings & works orders, following production drawingsAssemble parts to form finished products using hand & power tools in line with quality standardsPerform in process quality checks & inspection of final assembled part against company quality standards prior to moving on to the next production processWorking as part of a team to develop continuous improvementEnsuring the safe & controlled movement of productKeep work area clean & organisedWork in a careful & safe manner in line with company H & S policyActively participate in orientation & training programsUse of company MRP system

Qualifications / Experience: Previous assembly / fitting experience with the engineering industry (min. 1 year)Ability to read & understand engineering drawings and AutoCAD drawingsExperience using various hand toolsMechanical aptitude with a meticulous eye for detailProblem solving naturePrevious experience of undertaking manual labourAwareness of H & S relative to the workshop environmentGood communication skills both verbal & writtenStrong numeracy & literacy skillsBasic computer literacy
