Job Duties: Provide a highly specialist Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) service and will include the assessment and treatment of service users with varying degrees of learning disabilities. Provide specialist SLT service for adults with a learning disability and associated behavioural difficulties, ensuring a smooth transfer from acute inpatient services to the appropriate community setting or placement.

Qualifications / Experience: Hold a degree or qualification recognised by RCSLT 2. Current registered membership of RCSLT and HCPC 3. Specialist postgraduate courses and experience relevant to the diagnosis, prognosis and management of the client group e.g. Postgraduate dysphagia training, Talking Mats, Intensive Interaction, Mental Capacity, Advanced care planning, Accessible information, Makaton.
