Job Duties: Monitors patient progress, administers drugs and medicines, applies surgical dressings, and gives other forms of treatment. Maintain an awareness of all residents' needs, providing counselling, advice and practical assistance as appropriate. Supervise serving of meals and monitor dietary and hydration requirements. Monitor personal care requirements and presentation of residents. Monitor daily reports by care staff and take appropriate action where required.Monitor monthly weight recording. Review and amend care plans and update risk assessments. Check daily reports for each resident and add Staff Nurse Input if applicable. Reviews and requests prescriptions. Checks drug storage and audit. Early detection of signs and symptoms of illness and prompt referral to GP or other healthcare professionals. Works with other healthcare professionals and manages own case load.

Qualifications / Experience: Successful candidates must be RGN (Registered General Nurse) qualified and have a live registration on NMC (Nursing and Midwifery) register.Previous Nursing experience is desirable however newly qualified registrants may be considered.
