Job Duties: The role of an ACA involves providing transport/care during transportation of patients with varying needs. The safe transportation of these patients is paramount to the role. This is a responsible role which requires a professional and caring attitude. You will be expected to remain calm and in control in stressful/challenging situations. As an ACA, you must be flexible to a range of support shifts and events, as necessitated by the needs of the business. This environment requires flexibility and patient centred professionalism and care.

Qualifications / Experience: Hold current Level 3 First Response Emergency Care (FREC 3) or equivalent qualification.5 GCSEs at grade C or above (including English and Maths) or an equivalent qualification.Full driving licenceExperience of dealing with people and members of the public in previous role(s).Physically fit to carry out the role - moving and handling of people is a large part of the role, and you will often be in contact with patients who may have limited/no mobility.Strong communication skills.To be able to use your initiative and react quickly in a fluid environment.Successful completion of mandatory training (online modules) and driver assessment (practical).Successful return of enhanced Access NI certificate.Successful completion of in-house induction training.
