Job Duties: The role of an ACA involves providing transport/care during transportation of patients with varying needs. The safe transportation of these patients is paramount to the role. This is a responsible role which requires a professional and caring attitude. You will be expected to remain calm and in control in stressful/challenging situations. As an ACA, you must be flexible to a range of support shifts and events, as necessitated by the needs of the business. This environment requires flexibility and patient centred professionalism and care.

Qualifications / Experience: Hold current Level 3 First Response Emergency Care (FREC 3) or equivalent qualification.5 GCSEs at grade C or above (including English and Maths) or an equivalent qualification.Full driving licenceExperience of dealing with people and members of the public in previous role(s).Able to cope with physical nature of the job - moving and handling of people is a large part of the role, and you will often be in contact with patients who may have limited/no mobility.Strong communication skills.To be able to use your initiative and react quickly in a fluid environment.Successful completion of mandatory training (online modules) and driver assessment (practical).Successful return of enhanced Access NI certificate.Successful completion of in-house induction training.
