Job Duties: The employer is: DOCS FISH AND CHIPS.Duties will include learning how to correctly prepare batter ensuring that it is consistently of the high standard required, checking oil temperatures, being able to conduct quality control on food item at both the pre-cooked and cooked stage and having a genuine interest in learning what effectively a skilled role is. Cutting and trimming fish, using specialist knifes and correct chopping boards, checking over fish deliveries and ensuring they are correctly stored and general cleaning duties are all important parts of this role.The ideal candidate will be able to take direction whilst training in this position and constructive feedback on their progress to date, they will ask questions and show a keenness to learn which will help them to progress as a trainee fish fryer. Working as part of a team and carrying out all other duties as required within reason. You will be entitled to annual leave during this job opportunity.
Qualifications / Experience: Experience is not required but applicants should have an interest in Catering and learning a new skill which will essentially help them to gain employment. Applicants should be able to conduct and hygiene and health and safety practices within the kitchen once full training is delivered. Due to the demands of the role applicants must be able to work a variety of weekdays, evenings and weekends on a rota basis.
