Job Duties: Assist with the quality systems, i.e. upkeep of quality manual for BRC inspectionsEnsure that day to day checks are carried out Report to Technical Manager areas of concern within the site, including the non-completion of records, poor practices or any other issues which may ariseEnsure that calibrations are carried out on time as per schedulesRecord and take corrective actions re: non conformancesDraw up trends on a weekly / monthly basis, including organoleptic testing results.Conduct general hygiene audits and PPE inspectionsOther ad hoc duties as required

Qualifications / Experience: Essential Criteria:Technical or Food Related Qualification or proven relevant experienceUnderstanding of HACCP principlesExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenCompetent in record keepingMotivated with ability to work on own initiativeAble to solve problems analytically Computer literateMust be able to start at 6amDesirable Criteria:Foundation certificate in Food TechnologyPrevious experience working in the food industryExperience of BRC and/or Retailer AuditsFood hygiene qualificationAbility to complete quality checks on products throughout the process and ensure that finished product is to customer specification.
