Job Duties: Transport our Service users from their home to our day centre Monday to Friday.Transport our Service Users for social and educational outings.Secure wheelchair users before travelling using the recommended restraint devices. Where necessary assist Service Users using wheelchairs or walking aids in any manner possible with regards to their needs. Assist Service Users into and out of the Minibus.Support our Service Users in group and leisure activities.Good communication and understanding of people with learning disabilities.Responsible for the appropriate vehicle health and safety checks. Please specify on application form what hours you would prefer: 10, 15, 20 or 30 hours per week.

Qualifications / Experience: Essential CriteriaA minimum of 6 months experience driving minibuses.Current full category D1 Driving License with no restrictions valid for use within the UK.You will be required to produce your license at interview for verification.Applicants must hold a current and valid Drivers Qualification Card (DQC).You will be required to produce your DQC at interview for verification.Desirable CriteriaCandidate can demonstrate experience in using passenger tail lifts and passenger ramps and ancillary equipment such as wheelchair webbing and clamps. Candidate must demonstrate they have an understanding of confidentiality.A further driving qualification such as advanced motoring.
