Job Duties: The main purpose of this role is to operate powered industrial forklifts to load and unload pallets of materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas within the warehouse. Key Accountabilities; Adhere to Encirc health & safety and hygiene policies, operating procedures and regulations, working in a safe manner, not just for themselves but for their fellow workers. Obtain copy of production schedule or shipping order and transport materials or equipment to and from designated areas in the warehouse. Load and unload wares from vehicles in a timely manner, checking they are secure. Move wares packed on pallets around the storage facility. Perform daily equipment checks such as recharging forklifts battery and lubricating equipment. Remove machine attachments and waste materials from machines, ensuring the warehouse keeps clean and tidy at all times. Examine materials and products to verify conformance to quality standards.

Qualifications / Experience: Forklift certification and appropriate driving licence. The role is trained in-house. Previous experience working within an industrial or manufacturing environment is desirable. Some understanding of palletised products in the food or drink industry. Basic numeracy and literacy skills. Ability to follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records. Ability to execute assignments in an accurate, safe and timely manner. Attention to detail. Basic level of computer skills.
