Job Duties: Responsible for providing support to the Group Operations Controller and for providing advice and guidance on a range of H&S issues taking action where necessaryAssist in the production, development and monitoring of H&S policies and procedures across a multi-site organisationEnsure compliance with all relevant H&S legislation and standardsCarry out Health and Safety audits, investigations and risk assessments and report findings to the Group Operations Controller and Senior Management teamOrganise and deliver Toolbox talks and training for staff, contractors and visitors as requiredWorking with staff to develop, support, encourage and embed a positive culture towards excellence in all H&S mattersPrepare and provide reports as required, and update the H&S Management systemAssist with control of quality management system
Qualifications / Experience: Ideally educated to degree levelExperience in an Operational Health and Safety role in an industrial environment (e.g. university placement)NEBOSH / IOSH Certificate advantageous but not essentialFull driving licenseOutstanding communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with people at all levels in the businessPositive and proactive professional approach to safety and environmental management
