Job Duties: In the context of the Council's Corporate Plan and Departmental Objectives provide dynamic, effective and innovative leadership by:Advising the Head of Service/Deputy Director/Director on Environmental Health policy and strategies.Ensuring the highest quality of management of services and facilities in line with best practice, sustainability, and the Environmental Health agenda.Ensuring all duties and tasks assigned are performed in accordance with specified time, cost and quality targets so that an effective contribution is made to the delivery and achievement of departmental objectives.Assisting the Head of Service/Deputy Director/Director with the identification and analysis of Environmental Health trends, opportunities and the demonstration of continuous improvement in service delivery.
Qualifications / Experience: Degree (or equivalent) or Master's Degree in Environmental Health Which entitles you to membership of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH)A minimum of 3 years' relevant post graduate experience in Environmental Health management and that includes direct responsibility for:Developing and implementing strategies and business plansManaging a budgetProviding advice and guidance to senior managementSuccessfully managing and leading environmental health related teams
