Job Duties: To deputise for the manager in their absence.To assist in producing monthly accounts and financial reports for the credit union, in particular being conversant with all relevant aspects of the systems and Sage.Completion of daily, weekly and month-end routines including bank reconciliations, banking payments and with delegation of duties to staff.Management of expenses and payments to suppliers.Liaising with I.T. support to ensure ongoing efficiency and operation of the office.Assist in overseeing the operational financial needs of the credit union, balance and maintain the float and recommend transfer of funds where required.

Qualifications / Experience: A relevant third level degree and / or professional qualification plus 2 years relevant financial services experience with exposure to managerial responsibilities in a similar environmentORThree years relevant financial services experience with exposure to managerial responsibilities in a similar environmentPlus:Experience in the use of Sage AccountingStrong accounting, financial, analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience in handling volumes of cashExcellent interpersonal, teamwork, organisation and people management skillsICT literacy and high proficiency in Microsoft applicationsFamiliarity with the ethos and practice of the credit union movementFlexibility in terms of working hours.Desirable Criteria:Experience in loan assessmentsExperience in bank reconciliationsWe may decide to shortlist on essential criteria only or using both essential and desirable criteria.
