Job Duties: Job PurposeAs NHIP (Neighbourhood Health Improvement)/Community Development Officer you will develop and deliver projects which enable the community in the Strabane Neighbourhood Renewal (NR) Area to improve their health and well-being in line with the specific priorities identified in the NR action plan with particular reference to the NR Health Needs Analysis. You will contribute to the achievement of the Companys Strategy by ensuring effective delivery of community participation that conforms to regulatory requirements, adheres to company policies and procedures, complies with recognised good practice and achieves desired outcomes for the organisation.

Qualifications / Experience: Third level qualification in relevant community development and/or health & wellbeing disciplineORMinimum 2 years experience gained in the last 4 years of implementing community development and/or health projects.Knowledge of:Designing, planning & delivering programmes & activitiesFacilitation, group work & leadership workWorking with multi agency sector organisationsClear understanding of community development and health concepts, process and practice.Special Aptitudes:Excellent verbal & written communication skills Excellent organisation/time management Excellent interpersonal/team skillsAbility to maintain manual & computerised systems.Excellent facilitation& negotiation skillsAbility to work on own initiativeReport writingAbility to work flexible working hours when requiredAbility to work to short deadlinesDriving licence with access to a car or ability to demonstrate equivalent level of mobility.
