Job Duties: The successful applicant will be the first point of contact for purchasing and so we are looking for someone who has excellent organisation and negotiation skills. Key Responsibilities to include: Sourcing and procurement of materials, components, equipment and parts against designs and bills of materials.Negotiating price/cost for materials which includes sending enquiries, collating and reviewing quotes.Organising travel and accommodation for our projects.Maintaining the purchasing management systems.Meeting with suppliers' representatives to build rapport.Supplier performance review.Feedback of information to estimating department.Attending contract handover meetings.Attending regular project meetings.Other duties e.g. accounts tasks as deemed necessary.

Qualifications / Experience: Third level education or equivalent.GCSE English and Maths Grade C or above.Previous administration experience in busy office environment.Good Negotiation skills.Good communication skills, verbal and written and able to engage with stakeholders at all levels.Excellent attention to detail, planning and organisational skillsICT skills, proficient in the use of Microsoft packages.Strong administration skills including telephone duties, Word processing, spreadsheets, database input.
