Job Duties: The employer is: HAPPY DAYS COMMUNITY CHILDCARE.Purpose of Job:To work as part of a team by assisting in the day to day operation of the Childcare service.To assist in providing a high quality, safe, caring environment for the children.To undertake regular checks of equipment and resources.Duties to include:Providing safe, creative play opportunities and preparing activities in a caring environment. Carrying out all responsibilities and activities within an equal opportunities framework.Working within agreed policies.Attending staff meetings. Undertaking relevant training as deemed necessary.Any other duties as required.You will be entitled to annual leave during his job opportunity.

Qualifications / Experience: Essential:Interest in pursuing a career in Childcare.Relevant experience working/volunteering with 0-5 year olds.Willing to complete core training e.g. Safeguarding Commitment to act with sensitivity to maintain the ethos of Happy Days.Ability to relate well to children, parents, carers and colleagues.Ability to identify problems and refer to relevant person.Desirable:NVQ Level 3 Childcare Learning & Development or commitment to complete suitable qualification. Paid experience of working with 0-5 year olds.Knowledge of child protection principles and procedures.Knowledge of health and safety principles and procedures.Knowledge of games and activities.Clear understanding of child development.An understanding of equal opportunities.Ability to work as part of a team.Good communication skills.Current Safeguarding training.Current First Aid training.Music/art/craft skills.
