Job Duties: The employer is: ACREWOOD DAYCARE.Create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children.Assist Manager in tailoring routines to meet the individual needs of each child.Ensure workspace is resourced and creatively set up.Ensure observations and assessment of children's development records are maintained to a high standard.Assist in the recording and resolution of complaints or investigations ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times.Attend out of hours training session as well as parent's evenings, work meetings etc.Respect and value all colleagues, children and parents, encouraging a positive and diverse working environment.Other duties as required.Be vigilant and protect children from harm and abuse, reporting any concerns immediately in accordance with child protection and whistleblowing policies.Adhere to employer's policies and procedures.You will be entitled to annual leave during this job opportunity.
Qualifications / Experience: Essential:Level 2 in Children's Care Learning and Development, (CCLD) or equivalent. You will be required to complete Level 3 in Children's Care Learning and Development (CCL) funded by the employer whilst employed.Integrity and empathy when dealing with children.Good verbal and written communicator.Suitable to work with young children The ability to work as part of the Day Care Team under the direction of the Manager.Have a flexible approach and commitment to development. Desirable:Ability to observe, assess and track children's development.Music, art and craft skills. Previous childcare experience.Supporting children with SEN. Knowledge of current legislation and guidance (e.g. NI Curricular Guidance, Minimum Standards). Awareness of good practice of an effective Early Years Curriculum. Creative, confident. Knowledge of Health and Safety, Child Protection and First Aid.
