Job Duties: The employer is: DUNNAMAN CHILDRENS CENTRE.Integrate with staff members and maintain a team working environment.Prepare areas where children are each day.Ensure all equipment and materials are stored in a logical manner.Ensure the children's safety.Greet and welcome children and parents/carers.Assist at children's meal times.Assist in toileting/nappy changing of children ensuring hygiene standards are maintained.Encourage positive, personal hygiene routines.Provide and take part in all day care activities including special events and outings.Listen to, encourage, enable and stimulate all the children.Advise the supervisory staff of any matter requiring attention such as concerns about a child.Keep confidential any personal information regarding children, their families or other staff. Keep daily records, as directed, of all children specific to your work area.Attend appropriate training. You will be entitled to annual leave during this job opportunity.

Qualifications / Experience: Essential:One year's previous work experience with young children, paid or voluntary work..Ability to identify problems and refer to Leader.Ability to work as part of a team.Ability to relate well to children and their parents/carers.Ability to lift children and equipment when required.Willingness to attend evening meetings and training.Specific play skills.An understanding of child development and the importance of parental involvement.Friendly, caring, helpful, open-minded.Desirable:First aid skills.Music/art/craft skills.Able to contribute to planning.
