Job Duties: Main function of job:To ensure the physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs of individual children are met to the highest possible standard.Key tasks and duties:To promote the philosophy of caring in partnership with parents.To liaise with parents as appropriate.To maintain the highest possible standards of health and safety.To assess, plan, implement and evaluate relevant programmes of care for the development of individual children.To supervise mealtimes in a safe and competent manner.To work as an efficient member of the team.To attend and contribute to team meetings as appropriate.To work in partnership with colleagues.Any other duties as required by the employer.

Qualifications / Experience: A NVQ (National Vocational Qualifications) Level 2/3 in Childrens' Care, Learning and Development or an equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential.It is desirable that candidates hold a certificate in Child Protection and Paediatric First Aid.It is desirable that candidates have experience of working in a day-care nursery with children aged 0-8 years of age.It is desirable that candidates have at least 6 months paid experience working in a childcare facility/setting.
