Job Duties: The post holder will be involved in service delivery within the Surestart area and specifically for the delivery and on-going development of the Programme for two to three year olds. This will include working in partnership with families to promote and facilitate positive parenting and the enhancement of the role of parents as first educators. The post holder will be responsible for assisting the Leader in ensuring the overall safety and wellbeing of the children; for implementing the standards laid down by Sure Start and Early Years, the organisation for young children and Social Services. The post holder will also provide cover across other services such as creche and other relevant services.

Qualifications / Experience: QCF Level 5 Diploma in Childcare Learning and Development (Management) or equivalent Or NVQ Level III in Child Care, Learning and Development or equivalent andCurrently undertaking a course of study that will lead to the above qualification at Point 1 or equivalent within two years from the date of appointment. Two years experience working with young children in a group based setting.
