Job Duties: The employer is: MAGNUS VIKING ASSOCIATION.We are looking for an exceptional person to support and ensure the grounds maintenance and safety of our local sites and medieval village.The role includes manual labour, grass cutting, building maintenance, equipment, re-enactment equipment and boats upkeep and maintenance, safety and quality assurance checks, risk assessment development and upkeep. Management of site - opening and closing prior to and following re-enactment and community events. There will also be a requirement to support set up and take down prior to and following events as well as ensure safe traffic management for individuals and groups attending events as directed. Is essential that the individual applying for post has access to transport or own vehicle due to rurality of post and requirement of role. You will be entitled to annual leave during this job opportunity.

Qualifications / Experience: Outstanding people skills, flexibility and initiative.Minimum Grade C GCSE (or equivalent) - 'A' Level (or equivalent) education preferred.Technical skills. Awareness of health and safety - risk assessment.Attention to detail.Flexibility and versatility.Experience of managing site upkeep and ensuring safety of site and equipment.Ensuring the site is fit and to standard for historical tours and community events.Experience of working with the public.Other requirements:Team player.Confident.Enthusiastic and outgoing personality.Ability to work on own initiative.Able to work effectively under pressure.Strong eye for detail.Creative and flexible approach.A willingness to learn every day as you consistently strive to develop and enhance the profile of the organisation.
