Job Duties: As part of the development of Adult Day Services in Camphill Community Glencraig, the Team Leader will enable residents and day attendees to pursue a valued lifestyle by supporting them with personal care as well as with social, emotional, spiritual and daily activity needs.The Team Leader will provide the highest possible standard of support and care to adults with complex need and challenging behaviour.The Team leader will provide meaningful daily activities within a caring environment, supporting the well-being and development of skills, enhancing and promoting independence, choices and rights in a person centred way upholding holistic approach, values and the Camphill ethos.The Team Leader will mentor and supervise the staff Team within Adult Day Services.
Qualifications / Experience: Essential Criteria:QCF Level 4 in Health and Social Care or a diploma / certificate equivalent to National Occupational Standards Level 4 in a Health & Social Care related discipline (Health & Social Care, Education, Early Years, Play/Sport/Leisure activities, Youth work or equivalent level of qualification).Registered or applying for registration with the N. Ireland Social Care Council.At least 1 year of experience working with people in a caring or educational support field.Experience of providing direct personal care to individuals.Experience of supervising staff and volunteers.Experience of managing, coaching and mentoring staff. Desirable Criteria: Experience of working in a Day Care/Day Opportunities Setting.Experience of setting up daily activities and developing individual pathways.Experience of project management and outreach programmes.Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of supervisory management.
