Job Duties: To support participants with a learning disability and/or autism to take part in horticulture-based activities to maximise their individual potential. Activities will include the general running of a small horticultural site including planting and growing of seasonal fruit/vegetables/flowers and shrubs which can be sold throughout the year. You will also deliver practical activities which support the development of new skills eg. joinery/maintenance skills, cookery and creative activities. The activities will promote greater independence, confidence, and development of new skills. The CIP Horticulture Support Worker will be based at our Bangor site at Balloo working with a small number of participants each day.

Qualifications / Experience: Essential Criteria 6 months experience of working with young people or adults with disability or disadvantage in a paid or voluntary capacity.Proficient in the use of ICT packages including Word, Outlook and using virtual social platforms e.g. Zoom etc.An genuine interest in horticulture-based activities eg allotment work, gardening projects.
