Job Duties: To provide practical assistance to attenders as required in general personal care.To observe attenders behaviour i.e. change of mood or feeling unwell and report any such change to a Day Care Worker.To accompany attenders on outings/activities either individually or in a group.Provide advice and instruction to attenders in matters such as cooking, personal hygiene, road safety etc.Responsible for implementing programmes within the Centre as required.To use appropriate communication methods to meet individual needs.To participate fully in the teams approach to providing day care by contributing to staff meetings and ensure that communication and co-operation is maintained at a high level.Ensure that adequate precautions are taken in the centre under Health and Safety Regulations.Adhere to all organisations Policies and Procedures

Qualifications / Experience: Essential Criteria:12 months paid experience within the past two years working within social careDesirable Criteria:Good Literacy and Numeracy SkillsNVQ Level 2 in Care or proof of workingtowards this qualificationWork experience with adults with varying degrees of learning disability.Moving and HandlingFirst AidRegistered with the NISCC
