Job Duties: The Activity Therapist is responsible for the co-ordination of an activity and recreational programme to meet the needs of our elderly residents.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure on admission each resident is individually assessed to determine past interests and hobbies to enable the resident and the Activity Therapist to plan a suitable recreational programme for the new resident.Ensure that both individual and group activities are offered to all residents and encourage all residents to participate, being mindful of individual resident's choice.Encourage families to participate in these activities were appropriate.Keep nursing staff up to date on all planned activities. Compile individual files on participation of activities for record purposes.

Qualifications / Experience: Previous experience in a similar position, although not essential would be a distinct advantage.Experience working with the elderly, or another vulnerable client group is preferable.
