Job Duties: Preparation and placing of supplier ordersEnsuring that all incoming goods are delivered in a timely manner and on schedule Cross-checking of supplier invoices against orders placedMaintenance of accurate purchasing recordsConduct supplier negotiations and establish price structuresImplementation and maintenance of Service ContractsSourcing of potential new suppliers and performing year end reviewsGenerating and following up of Supplier Corrective Action RequestsMaintenance of a fully computerised purchasing systemHiring sub-contractors

Qualifications / Experience: Essential Skills and Experience:Demonstrable negotiation experience from a similar roleStrong interpersonal and team working skillsThe ability to work accurately and to tight deadlinesExcellent communication skills both written and oralProficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Word, Excel and PowerPointDriven and self-motivatedDesirable Criteria:CIPS qualificationExperience of sourcing suppliersTraining in Six SigmaWorking knowledge of health & safety requirementsExperience in the use of a purchasing system, such as, SageAwareness of Quality Management SystemsQualified to degree level (at least 2:1) in a Science, Engineering or Business related discipline
