Job Duties: As an apprentice you will learn how to inspect, repair and maintain large mobile plant machinery and HGVs.Under guidance assist with carrying out preventative maintenance and routine scheduling servicing in accordance with the manufacturers recommendationsAssist with trouble shooting and fault find any defects on machines and carry out repairs as necessaryEnsure the workplace and working environment is kept to a high standard and in-line with company health and safety guidelinesYou will also attend college to broaden your knowledge and skillset.As you become more experienced in the role, you will be responsible for maintenance, repair and statutory compliance of all plant machinery.Complete quality inspections to ensure work is completed to a safe standardAssure accurate service, repair and damage records are keptAttend machine breakdowns and carry out repairs to ensure minimum down timeFabrication work may be needed from time to time

Qualifications / Experience: English & Maths GCSE (or equivalent) at grade C or aboveThe ability to work flexible hours including weekendsDemonstrate a good work ethic & be able to work as part of a teamBe highly motivated with a desire to succeed and a willingness to learnAn understanding of health & safetyGood communication and organisation skillsMeet the requirements of the apprenticeship program
