Job Duties: The business services and repairs cars and light commercial vehicles, provides a 24-hour breakdown recovery and roadside assistance, accident management service and they also work as a sub-contractor to several Motoring Organisations including AXA, AA, Green Flag, RAC. We are looking to employ a mechanic to add to our team. The job is a full time position with good working conditions in a friendly, family run business. Works with colleagues or customers to determine the possible source of vehicle problems and define what issues need to be solved.Conducts thorough inspections and evaluations of problematic vehicles or parts to identify issues.Use technical devices to complete diagnostic tests of mechanical and electrical systems.Complete job cards of each vehicle, including any maintenance, inspection, or repair services performed.Service vehicles according to established preventive maintenance schedule. Complete MOT preps.Diagnostic skills essential.
Qualifications / Experience: Have HGV Class 2 (Advantageous).Full clean driving licence.Proven experience as Mechanic (desirable).Have the flexibility to attend call outs when assigned on the rota.Good knowledge of modern vehicles including electrics.A strong commitment to all Health and Safety guidelines.Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.A problem-solving ability.Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative.
