Job Duties: H&A require a Mechanic for their busy Draperstown garage. They will be responsible for ensuring the servicing, maintenance and repair of a fleet of up to 150 company vehicles.Additional Benefits:PensionLife Assurance (terms apply)Health Cash Plan MembershipRoles & Responsibilities:Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturers procedures in a safe and responsible manner.Carry out fault finding to determine and resolve issues for breakdownsEnsure all vehicles are serviced to standard to ensure they pass the annual MOT/PSVEnsure compliance to job card procedures to ensure records are maintained for all vehiclesService, maintain and repair a variety of HGV vehicles, mechanical handling equipment and mobile plant/equipment in a safe, efficient and economical mannerEnsure compliance with all H&S proceduresThe role is not limited to this job description and the post holder will be required to carry out other duties at the request of Management.
Qualifications / Experience: Essential Criteria:EitherHave a relevant NVQ Level 3 qualificationORBe a fully time served mechanicHave experience servicing LGV vehiclesHave a full clean driving licence.Desirable Criteria:Experience in auto diagnosticsExperience servicing HGV vehiclesCurrent HGV license.Personal Characteristics:Ability to build and maintain relationshipsExcellent Communication SkillsExcellent negotiation skillsAbility to work under pressureAbility to work within specified timeframesAbility to use own initiativeAbility to work as part of a teamStrong attention to detailAll applications must be submitted by 12pm on Friday, 18th February 2022
