Job Duties: Assembly of switchboard modular steelworkAssembly & installation of busbars (including cutting, bending & punching of copper bar)Installation & wiring of electrical power components (e.g. circuit breakers & fuse-switches)Electrical connection of components using solid copper busbar, flexible laminated busbar, and PVC cableInstallation & wiring of control equipment into switchboards (e.g. contactors, relays, timers)Associated activities including drilling and fixing of shrouding & engraved labels, preparing panels for factory-test & wrapping for despatch to customerAssembly team leadReconnection of switchboards on siteAny other required Site worksServicing and maintenance of installed equipment

Qualifications / Experience: Essential:BTEC Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Electrical installation or engineering.Track record in the Electrical Industry in a manufacturing/assembly environment or site installations.Ability to read & interpret electrical schematic drawings.Competence in basic engineering activities, including accurate measuring & setting out of components, drilling & tapping of mounting plates, use of vertical bench drill & jigsaw.Ability to work independently.Valid driving licence.Desirable:Prior experience in the construction and wiring of Low Voltage switchboards, Motor Control Centres, or electrical control panels for HVAC.Experience in testing LV Switchgear or electrical installations.
