Job Duties: Contribution to the management of the overall division, providing support to the Director and working with other Heads of Function as required for efficient, effective and economic delivery of business objectivesDeveloping, reviewing and implementing environmental policy and strategy, particularly in support of Green Growth and Climate Action agendas, and/or developing, reviewing and implementing operational policy, enforcement policy, and regulatory position statements. Identifying information and knowledge needs and commissioning the necessary Research and Development.Leading the preparation of written and oral evidence for appearance before the Minister, Select and Assembly Committees and presenting evidence.Representing the Department, Division and others on national and international committees, working groups and other fora, and making presentations at seminars and conferences nationally and internationally as required.

Qualifications / Experience: Eligibility criteria: Applicants must have, by the closing date for applications:At least two years experience at a professional level gained within the past five years in an environmental-related field;ANDAt least two years senior management experience of successfully leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams to deliver against organisational outcomes;ANDAt least 2 years senior management experience of building effective working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and successfully negotiating and influencing to deliver improvements or agreed outcomes.
