Job Duties: Animal Welfare: to maintain animal welfare guidelines and standards for the cats and dogs in our care. Administration: to maintain accurate records and to ensure that all paperwork is completed in accordance with RRC policies and procedures and in line with GDPR. Communications: to effectively manage the digital communications of the charity, including telephone, the social media presence, the website and email activities.Finance: to process donations in accordance with RRC policies and procedures. Fundraising: to be an active participant in the charities fundraising events. Volunteers: to engage with and supervise volunteers visiting the centre. Public: to engage with and supervise members of the public visiting the centre. Health & Safety: to work at all times within the RRC Health and Safety Policy and legislation.
Qualifications / Experience: Essential:Commitment to animal welfare ethos of the Rainbow Rehoming Centre;The ability to confidently handle animals;A positive 'can-do' attitude and a practical 'hands on' approach to work;A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 'C' or above to include English and Maths, or equivalent;Flexibility to work under rota schedule including weekends and public holidays.Desirable:Animal Welfare qualification; Previous experience of animal care in a formal setting.
