Job Duties: The employer is: NATIONAL TRUST.This is an opportunity to be a Facilities Assistant at Mount Stewart near Newtownards. Organisations need people with great facilities coordination & management skills to help ensure our built environments are efficient, effective, flexible & safe, meeting the needs of all our people, our visitors & enabling our places to thrive.As part of the wider team, the role holder may support providing a great welcome for all our visitors on busier days like bank holidays or event days. Contractor engagement & communication.Space management - set up/take down of staff & visitor areas.Compliance/ safety checks & associated record keeping.Basic care taking & hygiene duties. Security checks & activities.Assisting with procurement of related services & products.Monitoring environmental services usage e.g. water & electricity.Adherence to National Trust values and behavioursYou will be entitled to annual leave during this job opportunity.
Qualifications / Experience: Applicants do not need to have related work experience or qualifications, but should be able to demonstrate that they have:A genuine interest in and enthusiasm for this area of work and the heritage sector.Confidence to deal with members of the public.Ability to learn how to use and maintain machinery/equipment.Good interpersonal and communication skills, and are a great team player.Good standard of written and verbal skills.A willingness to undertake personal and vocational skills development and have an enthusiasm to learn.
