Job Duties: The employer is: NATIONAL TRUST. You will take part in conservation tasks that deliver for nature, while enabling a broad range of people to have brilliant experiences which benefit their physical and mental health. Carry out practical conservation tasks and methods that help us manage countryside sustainably. The role holder will spend some time lone working without direct contact with colleagues and direct supervision and also will use mechanical equipment.Practical conservation tasks that support habitat management.Monitoring and recording nature and wildlife.Supporting paths, trails and boundary maintenance to enable access Complying with safety procedures to manage risk to the public, your colleagues and yourself.Engaging visitors, supporters and members of the local community in nature and our places.Maintaining tools and equipment.Adherence to National Trust values and behaviours.

Qualifications / Experience: Applicants do not need to have related work experience or qualifications, but should be able to demonstrate that they have:A genuine interest in and enthusiasm for this area of work and the heritage sector.A valid Drivers Licence would be a bonus.Confidence to participate in garden and countryside activities and events.Ability to develop competencies to use and maintain machinery/equipment.Good interpersonal and communication skills, and are a great team playerGood standard of written and verbal English.A willingness to undertake continuing professional development and personal skills development and have an enthusiasm to learn.
