Job Duties: The employer is: USPCA.Greet and welcome customers and pets to the USPCA Grooming Room.Washing, brushing and prepping animals for grooming. Handling of animals during grooming.Help calm or distract dogs during hair grooming and nail trimming.Ensuring excellent salon presentation is maintained and high standards are kept through cleanliness, safety and good standards of housekeeping including equipment. Delivering a high standard of service, exceeding customer expectations. Excellent communication with clients and creating a welcoming environment within the grooming room.Promote pet wellbeing and the benefits of animal grooming.Upselling grooming accessories from the USPCA pet supplies shop.Other reasonable duties as may be allocated from time to time by management. You will be entitled to annual leave during this job opportunity.
Qualifications / Experience: IT literate.Ability to handle animals including difficult animals. Experience of cleaning to a high standard.Ability to communicate well with the general public. Self-motivated and able to work independently.Good general health since the job requires manual handling.Good standard of personal presentation.Be a team player, ready to be trained and actively involved in all aspects of the Grooming Room.
