Job Duties: The employer is: RSPB.Assist with the maintenance of buildings to ensure they operate as required e.g. path maintenance, fencing repairs, painting, general hygiene.Assist with the maintenance of livestock infrastructure and with the welfare of livestock to ensure we meet animal welfare and cross compliance legislation e.g. livestock fencing repairs and maintenance.Assist with routine operation, record keeping, servicing and maintenance of machinery and vehicles to ensure they operate safely.Assist with habitat management and grounds maintenance to ensure conservation and visitor experience targets are met e.g. scrub removal, removing small trees and shrubs by using hand-tools e.g. handsaws and loppers.Complete all tasks in compliance with Health and Safety policy.Engage communities and raise profile of our work e.g. support volunteer groups and assist with public engagement events, talks and promotions. You will be entitled to annual leave during this job opportunity.

Qualifications / Experience: Essential:An enthusiastic love of nature and managing land.Desirable:Knowledge of servicing and maintaining vehicles, machinery, tools and equipment to agreed standards.Machinery and equipment operations skills.Practical land management experience and delivering estate management works.Livestock management qualification.Knowledge of nature conservation.Lantra or equivalent qualification in tractors, toppers, trailers, chainsaws, brushcutters, ATV, boom sprayer, knapsack sprayers, boats and vehicles.
